I met a boy with wolfish grin
He did his best to lure me in
Once upon a time when I was good
Before he came to steal my hood
Outside the chip shop late one night Underneath dim halogen light I dribbled ketchup on my chin And so he wiped his finger in
And licked the sweet red sauce I had to laugh, it was fun, of course Walked me home, devoured my smiles, An escort with insidious wiles.
I met a boy with wolfish eyes He charmed me with the usual lies. His eyes were different colours too, One was dark, the other blue.
Beneath butter moon, haloed round His shadow shifted, wind it howled Projected zoetrope on the wall Looming large then crouching small.
I kissed his face, he ate my lips With carnal hunger, frozen tips Of bristles scratching at my skin, I heard him pant, Just let me in.
I met a boy with wolfish ears He charmed my atavistic fears. Separated from the party pack, I began to feel there's no way back.
Winter whispers white and whole Barn owls shriek to pierce the soul. With mortal dread I do confess I shivered in my crimson dress.
His snowy tracks lead into night As papery moths are set alight, Into the copse behind the school, Silver moonlight streams to pool.
Gnawing my words. I shouted no Spitting them out into the snow, Predatory rhythms out of tune, While hawthorn claws at bloody moon.
I met a boy with wolfish teeth I didn't see what lay beneath He ate my story on his prowl Returned me home so I could howl.
