Yes, leaving a Union has got to be hard is there no remnant, no glimmering shard of regret for leaving behind our shared values and ways for the loud mouthed glamour of “perhaps”es and “may”s To be hostage to whims of a mind unconstrained has got to be madness, he’ll soon have us trained we’ll be put in our place as the runt of the litter alone and feeble, subjected to twitter. Seduced by public school stammer and bluster - undermined, we’ve been stripped of our purpose to muster
rebellion - but then it’s already occurred - legislation, slid in, cloaked and unheard ‘He’s one of us!’ they say and foolishly giggle
at incompetence, demonstrably helping to fiddle taxation exemptions, restrictions of freedom, but so what? We’ve got back our tattered old Kingdom So we’ll be tugging our forelocks as we slowly subside and inhale in the mud - as the privileged glide en route to their mansions, their yachts and chalets we’ll think miserably back to our previous ways Rational thought has deserted this beautiful land, attention diverted to things underhand The Europe we loved to share and explore -
that loss has got to stick in my craw Bridget Enever
