Forget-me-not is the third in a series of four poems written by international students at INTO Newcastle University
Every time a forget-me-not blooms A girl would stand on a hillside with a bunch of forget-me-nots Her eyes drifted expectantly through everything From the sunrise until the stars only hope to love the return Her lover departed at a time of forget-me-not bloom The departing boy placed a bunch of forget-me-not in her hand After that she believed that her lover would return when the forget-me-not bloomed Day after day, year after year Then the girl disappeared They say she turns into a forget-me-not and blooms among the flowers Still waiting for the return of the lover from the war Then she would wake up to meet him again Jinran Wang
