Simon Jay Raises Target for Ipswich Hospital

Local hero Simon Jay raises over £2,500 for Ipswich & Colchester Hospitals

During the Covid-19 pandemic local hero Simon Jay managed to raise over £2,500 for the East Suffolk and North Essex NHS Foundation Trust and its staff during the Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak after organising a virtual quiz and setting up a Just Giving appeal.

Jay heartfelt plea to friends and family, “Please help me raise as much money as possible to aid the wellbeing of all NHS staff in any way that is needed during this difficult time” he went on “NHS staff are amazing, dedicated people who want to ensure they can continue to provide the very best levels of care at all times. To do this it’s so important they have the appropriate physical, mental and emotional support for them to carry out their life saving work. Please donate now and help save lives.”

Setting a target of £2,000 he was overjoyed to not only reach the target but to go on to raise an amazing £2,535 by April.

Simon thanked all those who gave to the worthy cause; “Thank you everyone for your kind donations and comments. Really please to be able to still support a charity while doing a virtual quiz and particularly the local NHS staff who are all hero’s for their amazing work (and all the other key workers of course who are all keeping the country going while we are in lockdown). #stayhome #staysafe #savelives #carryonquizzing”
